πΎ Our Plan is Two Phased β and Every Dollar Helps!
Our goal is to raise the funds needed for Phase I and Phase II of the Travis Dolphin Dog Park improvements.
Phase II is especially important β it will help protect the shore embankment from further erosion, which currently causes buried glass and debris to surface along the bank and wash into the river.
If we canβt raise the total funds for both phases right away, weβll complete Phase I first, then continue fundraising until we can complete Phase II.
Renovation of paths and dock area
Weβll install new weed mat, gravel, and improved dock access with terraced steps β making the park safer, cleaner, and more accessible for all.

πͺ We can save on costs through volunteer work, including spreading gravel along the paths β a great opportunity for community involvement!

Shoreline Erosion Control
This phase focuses on stabilizing the shoreline to prevent erosion and keep buried glass and debris from washing onto the bank and into the river β protecting our pets, people, and the natural beauty of the park.

An anonymous donor will match every dollar β up to $10,000!
That means your gift goes twice as far toward creating a safer, more sustainable park.
Your support helps keep our park beautiful, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
Every dollar moves us closer to completing these vital improvements.
π And make a lasting difference in our community!

GRAVEL & WEED MAT
Replace the torn weed mat and replenish the gravel. This has not been done since the park’s beginning in 2007. It’s just a mess now and presents tripping hazzards. In addition, new weed mat will help mitigate the travel of glass to the surface.

DOCK ACCESS
The approach to the dock is too steep for many, posing a slipping hazard. It will be terraced to allow steps to a more level approach.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY
To further support the Polson Travis Dolphin Dog Park, consider purchasing a Memorial Stepping Stone. The stones can be engraved in memory of someone you love, be it dog or person, and will be placed on the pathway (unless you want it for your own property). Purchase of these stones will help in funding the park improvements.

Rough Grading for Walls
A way to save money would be to arrange a volunteer labor day where a group of volunteers wheelbarrow gravel while the Delaney’s crew directs, spreads/compacts it into place, and drives the dump trucks.

SHORE EROSION
The current concrete blocks in front of the dock are gradually eroding into the river. Our plan is the following:
Install 40β riprap approximately 4β high on down river side of the dock & 10β on up river. In addition install 8 pilings and caps.
The total cost of the shore erosion work is $18,400
The total for both phases is: $54,489
An anonymous donor pledged $10,000 in matching funds. In addition, we can save $3,000 to $6,000 with volunteer help. That brings our fundraising total to approximately $38,500.
Can you help by donating, purchasing a stone, and/or volunteering?
