Why We’re Raising Funds
Travis Dolphin Dog Park is already a wonderful place, but it needs some
improvements to make it even safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
The WoofPack — a group of local dog owners who visit the park daily — is leading this effort.
The park sits on a former landfill, and after rainstorms, broken glass can surface
on the paths and erode into the river near the dock.
Our upgrades will make a big difference:
- New ground cloth and gravel will prevent glass from surfacing on pathways.
- Terraced steps will make the dock area safer and easier to access for people (and dogs!) of all ages.
- Shoreline stabilization will reduce erosion and stop glass from washing into the river.
